William Lawler

Funeral services will be Tuesday January 5, 2010 at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home at 2:00 pm. Pastor Brad Elsom will officiate.

Donnie passed away January 1, 2010 at Denton Regional Medical Center.

Donnie was born July 18, 1946 in Montague to William and Pauline Lawler. He worked for Lone Star Gas/ TXU for 31 years before retiring May 25, 2003. Eighteen of those years he worked along side with two of his children Kym and Mike. He married Bobbie Chambers on August 6, 1964 in Paris TX where they lived until he was transferred to Durant OK. In 1985 he was transferred to Gainesville where he and Bobbie currently reside.

Donnie loved his family, farming, animals, traveling and sports, especially the OU Sooners.

Survivors include his wife Bobbie of Gainesville, daughter Kymberly Teeters of Sanger, sons and daughter in laws Billy Don and Rebecca Lawler of Denton, and Mike and Shantelle Lawler of Argyle. Grandchildren Payton Lawler, Micah Lawler, Devin Teeters, Leah Lawler, Gracie Lawler, Addison Lawler. Step granddaughters Lindsey Grimes, Sarah Grimes, and Laurynn Grimes. Brothers Ocie Lawler and Greg Lawler, sisters Paula Hall, and Sandy Swindle and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

His parents and three sisters Billie Crane, Jan McIntire and Patsy McIntire preceded him in death.
No visitation is planned.
