Graveside services for Jimmie Alvin Russell, 77, of Gainesville are set for Saturday January 23, 2010 at 4:00 pm at the Reed Cemetery in Myra with the Rev. Dr. Garry Way officiating. Visitation is set for Friday January 22, 2010 from 7:00 to 8:00 pm at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.

Mr. Russell was born May 20, 1932 in Muenster to Joe Samuel and Tillie Elizabeth Corlew Russell. Jimmie passed away January 21, 2010 at his residence.

He is survived by his wife Gwen Russell of Gainesville, son James Dean Russell of Gainesville, son and daughter in law Sammy and Loretta Russell of Gainesville, daughter Teresa Lambert of Sparks, Nevada, son and daughter in law Tracy and Cindy Russell of Gainesville, daughter Tina Capps of Woodbine, son and daughter in law William and Cara Russell of Gainesville, son Jody Russell of Myra, fourteen grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and five sisters.
