Dayton Max Harrell

Dayton Max Harrell, 82, of Gainesville passed away on Monday April 12, 2010 at his home in Gainesville. Max was born on January 25, 1928 in Gainesville to Hugh Ben and Nell Proffer Harrell.
Max is survived by his wife of 60 years: Dalene Harrell ; son and daughter – in – law: Rex and Mechal Harrell of Gainesville; daughter and son – in – law: Kim and Danny Jones of Gainesville; grandchildren: William and Laura Harrell of Gainesville, Stephanie Harrell of Gainesville, and Klay Jones of Gainesville; great granddaughter: Gracie Harrell of Gainesville; one sister – in – law and several nieces and nephews.
Max is preceded in death his parents: Hugh and Nell Harrell; brothers: H.B., Merlin, and Dan Harrell; and sister: Opal Griffith.
Pallbearers will be: William Harrell, Klay Jones, Andy Crow, Ronald Ben Harrell, Robert Thacker, and John Bugg. Honorary PallBearer will be: Walter Vineyard.
Funeral services are set for Wednesday April 14, 2010 at 2 PM at the Geo J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Don Yeager officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Geo J Carroll & Son Funeral Home.
