Billy Joe Taylor

Graveside services for Billy Joe "B. J." Taylor, 77, of Gainesville, are set for Monday February 1, 2010 at 2:00 pm, at the Oakwood Cemetery in Whitesboro, with the Rev. Todd Gray officiating, under the direction of Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home. A visitation will held Sunday January 31, 2010 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.

Mr. Taylor passed away January 29, 2010 in Corinth. Billy Joe was born in Cedar Hill on December 28, 1932 To Joseph Henry and Winnie Juanita Bosher Taylor. His friends called him B. J. and loved ones called him "Pop".

B. J. was a veteran of the U. S. Navy and retired from Santa Fe/ Burlington Northern Railroad in 1997 after 43 years.

Mr. Taylor is survived his daughter and son in law Gaila Renee and Bill Coursey of Bridgeport, daughter and son in law Teresa Joy and Bob Gilmore of Sanger, four grandchildren Robert Hamilton, Amanda Duncan, Amy Jennings, and Seth Gilmore, two great- grandchildren Jordan Taylor Hamilton and Lucas Ryan Duncan. He is also survived by a brother Terry Wayne Taylor of Whitesboro.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
