Aleta Morgan Scribner, 100, of Gainesville, passed away April 4, 2020 in Gainesville.

Aleta was born October 8, 1919 in Fort Towson, OK to Joseph Haney and Sara Annie (Miller) Alexander.  She owned her own shop as a beauty operator for many years.  Mrs. Scribner was also a member of Commerce Street Church of Christ and the Order of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include: son Morris Morgan and wife Dema of Garland; daughter Sharon Durham and husband R.B. of Forestburg; son Boyce Morgan and wife Linda of Callisburg; 12 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Scribner was preceded in death by: her parents; husband O.G. Morgan; husband Cecil White; husband Earl Scribner; son John Morgan; son Larry Morgan; grandson Darian Morgan; granddaughter Debora Jenkins; 4 brothers; and 1 sister.

Memorial contributions may be made to Home Hospice of Cooke County.

Private services were held at Fairview Cemetery in Gainesville.
