Allan Dale Eberhart

Allan Dale Eberhart, 81, of Gainesville, passed away February 7, 2019, in Gainesville.

Allan was born April 23, 1937, in Muenster, Texas, to Al and Leona (Gehrig) Eberhart. He attended Sacred Heart Catholic High School and was a veteran of the United States Air Force. On November 29, 1958, he married Rachel Marie Richardson.

He retired from National Supply in 1987, where he worked for many years. He then worked for the Federal Emergency Management Agency in Denton, Texas for eight years before officially retiring. He is a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Gainesville.

Mr. Eberhart is survived by his wife of 60 years, Rachel of Gainesville; son Philip Eberhart and wife Anne of Gainesville; daughter Delana Jones of Coppell; granddaughter Brooke Barnes and husband Clayton; four grandsons Colt Eberhart, Max Eberhart, Chase Klement, and Matt Eberhart; great-granddaughter Parker Eberhart; brother Gene Eberhart and wife Sharon of Arlington.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Al and Leona.

A rosary will be held at Geo J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home, 602 Lindsay St., on Sunday, February 10 at 6:00 pm, followed by a visitation.

Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 825 N. Weaver, on Monday, February 11, at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Muenster, Texas.

Pallbearers will be Colt Eberhart, Chase Klement, Jack Richardson, Steve Estes, Kyle Estes, Glenn Estes, and Jacob Estes.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary’s Catholic School, Gainesville, Texas.
