Mass of Christian Burial for Angeline Caroline Prescher Steadham will be held Saturday March 26 th at 10:30 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Gainesville, with visitation and Rosary on Friday March 25 th at 6:00pm at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.
Angeline Caroline Prescher Steadham passed from this earth to be with our Lord on March 22, 2022. She was born May 30, 1931, to Joseph and Anna Prescher in Scotland, TX. Angeline was raised in Scotland and was the last of fifteen children born to Joseph and Anna. Angeline married Andrew Joseph Luttmer and together they raised three children, JD, John, and Karen in Gainesville and Muenster areas. Later in life she married James E (Red) Steadham and moved to Saint Jo and later to East Texas where the oil field and pine trees beckoned. After Red’s death she moved back to Valley View to be close to her sisters. She loved to visit with family members; always looking forward to another family reunion so she could see everyone. Angeline spent her final decades in Richardson so she could be near some of her children and grandchildren. She made many new friends there whom she loved like family. She loved attending daily Mass and praying the Rosary.
Angeline is survived by her sons Joseph David Luttmer and wife Linda Grigsby of Richardson; John Paul Luttmer of Council Bluffs, IO; daughter Karen Rose Luttmer Eddy and husband Kevin Eddy of Richardson. She is also survived by her grandchildren Cassana Luttmer Young, William Luttmer, Laura Luttmer, Alexander Eddy, and Lucas Eddy. Angeline has also been blessed with seven great grandchildren, and many loved nieces and nephews.
Angeline is preceded in death by her husband James E. Steadham, her parents, and her siblings Elizabeth Prescher Krahl, Alfonse Prescher, Paul Prescher, Frank Prescher, John Prescher, Peter Prescher, Leo Prescher, Felix Prescher, Christiana Prescher Sicking, Agatha Prescher Mayes, Jacob Prescher, Lucy Prescher Oehler, Martha Prescher Hacker, and Joseph Prescher.
