Barbara Zackery

July 18, 1941 — June 15, 2021

The world lost a beloved mother.  Barbara Offord Zackery passed away on June 15, 2021, in Gainesville, Texas. She was born July 18, 1941 in Valley View, Texas to Bill and Mary Rozella Offord.

Barbara was proud of her seven children and several other children she had raised as her own through the years.

Friends and family are invited to a Celebration of Life for Barbara, Saturday, July 31, 2021 at 6:00 pm at River Alive Church – 1612 Broadway St. Gainesville, TX.

Barbara loved the Lord and loved to read her Bible. She helped teach Vacation Bible School in Valley View, when her children were young.  She loved baking and cooking for family and friends.  She left some of her favorite recipes , such as her pecan brittle and her famous sunshine pickles. She also loved making crafts for her friends and family. She was so funny and witty and always happy. She had never met a stranger and everyone was always welcome in her home.

She is survived by her daughter and son in-law Cindy and Dale Logue of Gainesville, son Sammy Calabrese of Gainesville, Son and daughter in-law Kenny and Jody Calabrese of Highland Village, Daughter and son in-law Ronda and Jeff Richeson of Gainesville, son Jeff Calabrese of Dallas, and son Marc Calabrese of Gainesville. Eighteen grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She also leaves behind her dear friends of over forty years, Lavell Gomez and Odelia Doughty.

Proceeded in her death are her parents Bill and Mary Rozella Offord, daughter Teresa Calabrese Logue, brother and sister in-law Melvin and Marilyn Offord, brother Roger Offord, sister and brother in-law Jo and Glen Russell and sister and brother in-law Jana and Maurice Williams.
