Betty Eagan, 90, died peacefully Saturday morning, September 7, 2024 at Wesley Oaks Memory Care, Gainesville, Texas.

Betty is survived by son Rick Isham and wife Debbie of Callisburg, Texas; grandson, Rick Isham II and wife Lyndsey of North Richland Hills, Texas; granddaughters, Kelli Anderson and husband Philip of Loves Park, Il, and Mandi Wood of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; daughter-in-law Teresa Isham of Cason, Texas; great-granddaughters, Alexis Isham and Addison Isham; great-grandsons, Aiden Isham, Asher Isham, Elijah John Anderson, Gabe Anderson, and Dylan Spurlock; and sisters, Mary Calhoun and Jan Hogg.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Demmie Macdonald; her father, Ernest Rhodes; her husband, Bill Eagan; her son, Dennis Isham; and her grandson, Cory Isham.

Betty was born August 13, 1934 in Lamesa, Texas. She retired from Sears after 30+ years of service. Betty’s faith was in Jesus Christ. She loved her family, was faithful to her friends, worked hard, and in her day, walked and moved fast. Betty set a generous table and no one was turned away or left hungry. She was a mama bear when needed, strong and determined. Betty was much loved and will be missed.

The family would like to thank the caregivers and staff of Wesley Oaks Memory Care and Heart to Heart Hospice.

The services will be held Thursday, September 12, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Vilott Baptist Church, Whitesboro, Texas with Rick Isham officiating. Visitation will be at the church at 1:00 p.m.  Burial will follow the funeral at Oakwood Cemetery, Whitesboro, Texas.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home, Gainesville, Texas.

Betty’s pallbearers will be: Rick Isham II, Aiden Isham, Philip Anderson, Elijah John Anderson, Gabe Anderson. Honorary pallbearers Dylan Spurlock, Asher Isham.
