Betty Holt

A graveside service for Elizabeth “Betty” Sue Holt, 80, of Gainesville, is scheduled for 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at Callisburg Cemetery.

Ms. Holt passed away February 19, 2021 in Gainesville.

Betty was born September 5, 1940 in Gainesville to Mansel D. and Ethel Mae (Cole) Holt.  She was a graduate of Callisburg High School and Texas A&M at Commerce.  Ms. Holt had a fulfilling career as an elementary school teacher, caring for her students and if they were her own family.  In her leisure time, she pursued genealogy research and treasured the moments spent with her family.

Survivors include: nephew, Robert Holt and wife, Patti of Gainesville; nephew, Kent Schneider and wife, Betty and family of Gainesville; niece, Charlene Hardin and husband, Ronnie and family of Pottsboro; nephew, Mark Schneider and family of Brenham; great-niece, Heather Parsons and husband, Josh of Gainesville; great-niece, Kaitlyn Rich and husband, Josh of Providence; great-niece, Alex Knight and fiancé, Cordell Hannum; and great-great-nephews & -nieces: Hunter, River, Peyton, Sadie, and Greyson.

Ms. Holt was preceded in death by: parents, Mansel and Ethel Holt; brother, John Holt; and brother, Jack Holt.
