Bill Hawke

William B. “Bill” Hawke, 84, of Lake Kiowa, passed away April 4, 2020 in Gainesville, TX.

Bill was born in Elyria, OH on March 5, 1936 to William Arthur and Alice (Turner) Hawke.  He married Willa K. Rogers on October 28, 1978 in Oklahoma City, OK.  Mr. Hawke had retired from a successful career as a willing and helpful employee in administration and logistics for the Federal Aviation Administration, having spent most of his time in Illinois.  He enjoyed playing golf and traveling domestically and internationally with Willa.  Mr. Hawke was a member of First United Methodist Church of Gainesville, TX, where he devoted many hours at the Second Time Around Resale Ministry.  He enjoyed spending time with his beloved family and will be fondly remembered as a joyful, kind, and pleasant person.

Survivors include: wife Willa K. Hawke of Lake Kiowa; daughter Deborah Coffey and fiancé Rich Balderas of Lake Kiowa; grandson Justin Wallis and wife Elizabeth of Sherman; great-grandchildren Rebecca and Nathan Wallis; stepdaughter Candice Rogers of Oklahoma City, OK; stepson Carson Rogers and wife Donna of Oklahoma City, OK; many step-grandchildren; brother Denny Hawke and wife Kathy of Ohio; sister Linda Sears of Ohio; sister-in-law Lena Hawke of Ohio; and cousin Roger Hales of Ohio.

Mr. Hawke was preceded in death by: his parents; son Scott Hawke; stepson Carl Don Rogers; brother Robert Hawke; and brother Glen Hawke.
