Billy Frank (Rusty) Chilcoat, 86, left this earth to be welcomed home by God on April 8th. He passed away in Gainesville, Texas. Rusty was born to his loving parents Marion and Wanda Chilcoat, July 14, 1934 in Mexia, Texas.
He grew up in the Callisburg area, graduating from Callisburg High School in 1953. Immediately after graduation he joined the Army. Following three years in the military he was employed by Arco Oil and Gas in Anchorage, Alaska as a drilling superintendent for the startup of the Trans-Alaska Pipeline in Prudhoe Bay. After 7 years he transferred to Ardmore, Oklahoma where he completed his working career as area supervisor for Arco.
He is survived by his loving children: Stuart Lee Chilcoat and wife, Shauna; Leah Jean Anderson and husband, Grayson; grandchildren: John, Sarah, Erin, Grayson Jr., Landon, and Kaylee; great-grandchildren: Keylee, Kinsley, and Evelyn; sisters: JoAnn Booher, Tutts Harrison, Jean Shears, Janice Uselton, and Patsy Davis; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Jo Chilcoat; his parents; brother, Larry Lee Chilcoat; sister, Merry Alice Hatcher and great-grandson, Oliver Durrett.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, April 13th at 3:00pm at Oakwood Cemetery in Whitesboro Texas with Rev. Rob Shepherd officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to a local charity of one’s choosing that supports veterans.
