Billie Joyce Titch

Mrs. Billie Joyce Titch, age 89, of Rockmart, GA, formerly of Gainesville, TX, passed away on Saturday, June 5, 2021.

She was born near Dexter, TX on October 31, 1931, the daughter of the late Edd and Ruth McCormick. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers: Joseph, Jessie and Jimmy McCormick and two sisters: Ella Jane Carr and Bernice Perkins.

Billie and her husband of nearly 60 years, John J. Titch, settled and raised their family in Gainesville, TX. Following her beloved husband's death, Billie moved to Georgia. She was a faithful member of Rockmart Church of Christ.

She was an avid reader of her Bible and Christian fiction. She enjoyed sewing, creating everything from her daughter’s wedding dress to her granddaughter's Sunday dresses. She would prepare delicious family meals always followed by one of her amazing desserts, such as chocolate Texas sheet cake, lemon bars, chocolate cream delight and of course always with a scoop of Blue Bell Ice Cream.

She is survived by her one loving daughter, Belinda La Rue and her husband, Mickey of Rockmart, GA, her one son, Frank Titch and his wife, Joanie of NC, grandchildren: Michelle and Mike Gregory, Amber and Adam Askew, Sara and Tom Sweet, Katie and Josh Mueller, Leah and Bradley Gray and Daniel Titch, great-grandchildren: Cody and Taylor Gregory, Natalie and Adisen Askew, Emily, Brendan and Madison Sweet and Ava and Bryce Muellar.

Graveside services will be held at Fairview Cemetery in Gainesville, TX, under the direction of Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home, at 1:00 P.M. on Sunday, June 13, 2021 with Ben Willingham officiating.
