Billy Don Hendricks

Funeral services for Billy Don Hendricks, 71, of Gainesville, are scheduled for 1:00 PM on Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 1:00 PM prior to the service.

Mr. Hendricks passed away December 26, 2019 in Denton.

Billy was born June 25, 1948 in Gainesville to Ada Grace Hendricks.  He was a member of Gainesville High School’s 1967 graduating class and played basketball.  Mr. Hendricks served in the U.S. Army, and worked for National Supply and the Gainesville State School.  He married Laura Ann Jones on October 23, 1969.  Mr. Hendricks enjoyed following his favorite sports teams and spending time with his beloved grandchildren.

Survivors include: son David Moore and wife JoAngela of Gainesville; daughter Natalie Hendricks of Gainesville; son Quinton Hendricks of Gainesville; grandchildren: David Moore Jr., Olivia Grace Jones, Avreyanna Hendricks, Jae’Lyn Hendricks, Javaun Hendricks, Ava Hendricks, Amaya Hendricks, and Arwen Hendricks; great-grandchild Kaylor; sister Dorothy Johnson of Wichita, KS; sister Janice Barlow of Wichita, KS; brother Ricky Hendricks and wife Regina of Wichita, KS; brother Jerry Hendricks and wife Carolyn of Gainesville; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Mr. Hendricks was preceded in death by: his mother; sister Clementine Dean; brother Aaron Mims; brother Willie Mims; brother Charles Mims; and brother Gary Hendricks.
