Bobby Gene Ritchie

Bobby Gene Ritchie, of Gainesville, at age 65, passed away at Medical City of Denton on April 21, 2021.  He was born May 1, 1955 to Malcolm and Wanda (Briggs) Ritchie in Gainesville.

Bobby loved to go fishing, building furniture, and playing with his grandkids and great-grandkids.

Mr. Ritchie was in the Navy and served as a submariner.  He also worked at J&P transport out of Myra.  He has worked as a truck driver for 20 years.

Bobby married his wife Paula Cox Ritchie in March of 1994.

Mr. Ritchie was preceded in death by his mother Wanda Ritchie, his father Malcolm Ritchie, his brothers Kenny Ritchie, Michael Ritchie and Donald Ritchie, and also his daughter-in-law Lorilee McAfee.

Bobby is survived by his wife Paula Ritchie; sons Bryan Ritchie and Michael McAfee; daughter and daughter-in-law Tammy and Janie Lively Lingle.  He is also survived by his brothers James Ritchie and JB Ritchie; sisters Janice Peak, Gayla McGuill, and Carrie Dillion; six grandkids and seven great-grandkids.

A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Monday, April 26, 2021 in Fairview Cemetery with Rev. Hollis Parsons officiating.
