Calvin Nevins Davis, 60, of Callisburg, passed away November 30, 2023 in Callisburg.

Calvin was born December 18, 1962 in Fort Worth.  He began his childhood in Fort Worth and moved to Gainesville in his teenage years.  He married Jeanie Buckaloo on September 11, 2021 in Sherman.  Calvin loved every day of his 30-year career with Rent-A-Center.  When not at work, he could often be found in the gym exercising or spending time with his wife and granddaughter, Mercedes Grace.  He will be fondly remembered as a loving husband, son, brother, grandfather, uncle, coworker and friend.

Survivors include: wife (his babydoll), Jeanie Davis of Callisburg; son Joseph Davis of Ardmore, OK; step-daughter Ashley Buckaloo of Gainesville; step-son Logan Buckaloo Burks of Gainesville; five grandchildren; father Joseph Calvin Davis, Sr., his wife Dusty, their daughter Bonnie (husband Cole) of Weatherford; sister Pam Cole and husband Ronnie of Azle; brother Joe Davis, Jr. and wife Michele of Gainesville; brother Johnnie Paul Barton and wife Denise of Sanger; brother Michael Edward Barton of Gainesville; mother-in-law Kathy “Mama-K” Buckaloo of Callisburg; mother-in-law LuLu Buckaloo of Callisburg; and eight siblings-in-law.

Mr. Davis was predeceased by: mother Evelyn Culpepper; father-in-law Lommie Buckaloo; step-father Paul Gene Barton; and grandmother Delia Mae Gaither.

The family would like to especially thank sister-in-law and nurse Tonya Wood and Nurse Drue with Ardent Hospice for their exceptional care.
