Calvin Lee Thompson, 68, of Gainesville, TX passed away peacefully in his home on June 2, 2022.

Calvin Lee was preceded in death by his beloved wife Ralene Thompson, his mother Rosalea Thompson and his sister Pamela Swinden. He is survived by his father Calvin Love Thompson, his brother Glenn Thompson and his wife Laurie. His eldest son, Bryan Lee Thompson, his wife Monica and their children; Dylan J Thompson, Kennedy Love Thompson, and Wyatt W. Thompson. He also leaves behind his youngest son Dylan C Thompson and his wife Myranda and their children; Honie M. Garcia, Craig A. Garcia, Kaitlyn R. Thompson, and Bryan S. Thompson.

Calvin Lee was born in Gainesville, TX on August 26, 1953 and was raised in Vacaville, CA. Throughout his life he resided in Auburn, California, Las Vegas, Nevada and Burns Flat, Oklahoma, before returning to Gainesville, Texas to be close to family. Throughout his military career he also traveled to and lived in many countries including England & Germany.

He served in the United States Air Force Air Police, United States Navy Seabees, and the United States Army 72nd MP Company, seeing action in Desert Storm during the Gulf war; along with civilian occupations with the Clark County School District, the Oil Fields, and Manufacturing Facilities.

Calvin was a dedicated husband, a loving father, son & brother, an adoring grandfather and lover of all animals.

No funeral or memorial service is immediately planned. Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
