Carol Sue Bean

Carol Sue Bean, 77, passed away peacefully in her home, on October 4, 2024, in Gainesville, Texas.  She was born in Flint, Michigan, on April 8, 1947, to Harold Van Dorn and Ora Irene Irby Terrell.  She and her mother moved to Texas, when Carol was very young, and she attended public schools in Dallas, Texas and later, Whitesboro, Texas.

Mrs. Bean met her husband, Robbie Glenn Bean, while working with her step-dad, Jack Terrell at Rock Creek Camp, where Carol would help make fishing nets.  Carol and Robbie married February 16, 1965, and resided in Sherman, Texas for a brief moment, before settling in Whitesboro, Texas where they would raise their four children.

Carol is preceded in death by her husband Robbie Glenn Bean; parents Harold Van Dorn and Irene Terrell; partner Donald White; brother Jackie Terrell; sister Sandy Norris.  She is survived by daughter Sandy Mayo and husband Brett of Valley View; her sons Robbie Bean of Sherman, Chris Bean and wife Terri of Sherman, Michael Bean of Gordonville; brother Thomas Terrell, sisters Annette Fleming, and Polly Terrell all of Wichita Falls; 10 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be scheduled for a later date.
