Funeral services for Carrisa Taylor, 47, of Gainesville, are scheduled for 1:00 PM on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at Rosston United Methodist Church with Rev. Doyle Henderson officiating. Interment will follow at Rosston Cemetery.
Ms. Taylor passed away April 30, 2018 in DeSoto.
Carrisa was born October 6, 1970 in Amarillo to Hollis Ward “Buzz” Berry and Debora Ann Biggs Berry. She was raised in Arlington and moved to Gainesville where she attended high school. Ms. Taylor enjoyed her summers with her grandparents (Berry) in Rosston and was caretaker for her grandparents (Cotten) in their later years. She loved caring for cats and dogs and treasured the time she spent with family and friends.
Survivors include: daughter Laura Taylor of Lake Kiowa; daughter Ashley Schoonover and husband Caleb of Melissa; daughter Patricia Threadgill of Gainesville; daughter Shea Taylor of Melissa; son Jackson Hubbard of Callisburg; six grandchildren; mother and stepfather Debby and Randy Turbeville of Gainesville; sister Leah Berry Parker of League City; brother Brooks Turbeville and wife Molly of Gainesville; and brother Dusty Turbeville of Austin.
Ms. Taylor was preceded in death by: father Hollis Ward “Buzz” Berry; grandparents Hollis and Ellen Berry; and grandparents Sam and Marie Cotten.
Serving as pallbearers are: Brooks Turbeville, Dusty Turbeville, Caleb Schoonover, and Harvey Hubbard.
Memorial contributions may be made to Noah’s Ark Animal Shelter.
