Catherine D. Arend

Catherine D. Arend passed away peacefully in her home Wednesday, August 12, 2020.  She was born March 17, 1924, in Gainesville, to Adolph and Anna (Reck) Pittner.

Mrs. Arend is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Patsy and Milton Krebs of Gainesville; daughter Alice Cason of Weatherford; son and daughter-in-law Chuck and Rhonda Arend of Gainesville; son Robert “Goob” Arend of Gainesville; 12 grandchildren;20 great-grandchildren; sister Margurite Mages of Frisco.

Catherine was preceded in death by her parents, her Husband John Arend, 2 sisters, and 3 brothers.

The family would like to extend a special “thank you” to caregivers and nurses of Home Hospice of Cooke County:  Linda, Martha, Darlene, Pam, and Kelly.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Home Hospice of Cooke County or to St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

Services for Mrs. Arend are private and her body will be laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery.
