Charlene Kiser, “Nana”, 86, of Gainesville, passed away on April 3, 2022 in Gainesville.
Charlene was born March 18, 1936 in Arkansas. After attending college, she first worked in the electronics field for many years, before working at Weber Aircraft, from where she retired after 15 years. Affectionately known as “Nana” to more than just her family, Mrs. Kiser had a generous and caring spirit. Not only did she treasure her time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, but she also cared for countless neighborhood children throughout her life. She loved cooking and dancing, and will be remembered for her unique sense of humor. Mrs. Kiser was a woman of strong faith and left an enduring impression on those that knew her.
Mrs. Kiser was preceded in death by: husband, George Kiser, Jr.; parents, Cecil and Ruth (Calhoun) Grady; son, Ralph Hill; son, Larry Kiser; grandson, Collin Kiser; brothers: John Grady and Tom Grady; and sisters: Anne Powell, Linda Sailer, Mary Winham, and Selma Bryant.
Survivors include: son, George Kiser, III and wife, Patricia of Gainesville; daughter, Patti Holder and husband, Tommy of Gainesville; daughter, Donna Neal and husband, Donnie of Gainesville; son, Christopher Kiser of Gainesville; daughter, Judy Crisp and husband, Javier Provencio of Whitesboro; grandchildren: Charlotte Hill, Robin Dickerson, Crystal Kiser, Joseph Graham, Eric & Jessica McCann, Konah & Karamee Kiser, Keeton Kiser, Mercedes Keener, Jason & Bri Holder, Jennifer & Jon Lopez, Jacob Neal, Justin & Brittany Kiser, and Brooke & Charles Willmon; many beloved great-grandchildren; and sister, Charlotte Gonzalez.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home. A graveside service will begin at 3:00 P.M. on Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at Fairview Cemetery with Rev. Robert Kelley officiating.
