Charles Lee Camp, Sr, 78, of Gainesville, passed away peacefully at home on October 18, 2024.
Charles was born on October 4,1946 in Wichita Falls, Texas to Roy and Glynn (Westerman) Camp.
Charles loved fishing, hunting, building things, and being outdoors. He loved telling jokes and making people smile. Family and friends will miss him.
Mr. Camp is survived by his son Charles Lee Camp, Jr. of Waco; daughters Ginger Lemons and husband Ricky of Callisburg and Tamatha Perkins of Alvin; grandchildren Lyndzie Ballinger, Drew Camp, Dillon Camp, Katie Taylor, Thomas Lemons, Kelsey Perkins and Wade Perkins; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters Marty Boyter of McKinney and Karen Doan and husband Greg of Bryan; brothers-in-law Don Leaton and wife Lynda and Jack Leaton and wife Lena; sister-in-law Livia Kendrick and husband Marty; bonus children Christy Henry and husband Gary and David Leaton. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents; wife Bettye; parents-in-law Bill and Louise Leaton; brothers Royce Camp, Roger Camp and Danny Camp; sister Comella McDorman; brothers-in-law Billie Leaton, Jr. and Tommy Leaton; sister-in-law Jimmie Almon.
The family would like to thank Arcy Home Hospice for the exceptional care they provide for our dad during his final days.
