Charles Ray Mcdermand

Charles Ray McDermand, 74, of Valley View, passed away June 2, 2019 in Denton.  Services are pending at this time.  Arrangements are under the care of Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.

Charles was born October 31, 1944 in Beaumont to Ray and Earnestine (Decardova) McDermand.  He was raised in Beaumont and there he married Reba Ann Cathey in June of 1967.  He served in the U.S. Air Force and was a cutting horse trainer.

Survivors include: wife Reba McDermand of Valley View; daughter Kelli Schuckers of Valley View; son Zeb McDermand and wife Sunni of Valley View; grandchildren: Kolten Schuckers, Dylan McDermand, and Charlie McDermand; brother Wayne McDermand and wife Susie of Beaumont; sister Anna Griffin of Dallas; sister-in-law Pam Cathey of Grapevine; and son Steven Rutledge of Sanger.

Mr. McDermand was preceded in death by his parents.
