Graveside services for Charlie Alton Capps, 87, of Gainesville, are set for 1:00 PM Thursday, February 14, 2019 at the Fairview Cemetery with the Rev. Larry Kremling officiating under the direction of the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.
Charlie was born on May 20, 1931 in Pep, New Mexico to Eugene W. Capps and Alta A. (Hill) Capps. He passed away on February 11, 2019 in Gainesville.
Charlie served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He was an engineer for the Sante Fe Railway and loved to race cars.
He is survived by his brother Joe Capps of Georgetown, several cousins, and many special friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
