Christy Louise Fenley

Christy Louise Fenley, 53, of Gainesville, TX, passed away April 2, 2021 in Denton, TX.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, April 6, at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home, Gainesville.  The funeral service will begin at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, April 7, at Gethsemane Baptist Church, Gainesville, with Rev. Larry Kremling officiating.  The committal service will begin at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, April 8, at Forest Park Cemetery, Shreveport, LA.

Christy married Gary Don Fenley on November 16, 1996 in Gainesville.  Christy was always at peace while working in her yard.  She enjoyed traveling, hunting antique malls for that next treasure, and watching Oklahoma Sooner Football.

Survivors include: husband, Gary Don Fenley of Gainesville; brother, Allison Schaff and wife, Jennifer of Shreveport; brother, Stacy Schaff and wife, Dana of Tyler, TX; mother-in-law, Pat Payne of Gainesville; brother-in-law, Dwayne Fenley and wife, Dana of Little Field, TX; brother-in-law, Bradley Fenley and wife, Donna of Lake Dallas, TX; nephews, whom Christy loved very much: Wells Adair Schaff, Carter Schaff, and Jared Fenley; uncle, Chase Schaff and wife, Nadine and their children, Stephen and David of Plano, TX; and many beloved friends.

Mrs. Fenley was preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Dorothy Schaff; uncle, Byron Schaff; and father-in-law, Larry Payne.

Serving as pallbearers are: Brian Hobbs, Jared Fenley, Dan Doss, Kyle Walker, and Glendon Short.
