Clara Frances Haynie

Clara Frances Roark Haynie, 89, passed to her eternal home Sunday, February 26,2023.

The family will celebrate her life Saturday, March 25th from 11:00 AM-12:00 PM, Leonard Park East Pavilion #1, with Hollis Parsons officiating.

Clara was a mighty woman of God and a faithful prayer warrior. Her greatest joy was telling others about Jesus, and sharing His love. She was a missionary within the United States as well as Indonesia, South Korea, Russia, Germany, Sweden, Afghanistan, Honduras and Mozambique, Africa.

Clara’s heart for God’s Word and serving others was evidenced in Bible Study Fellowship, mission activities, and teaching Sunday School. Clara was also instrumental in beginning the Cowboy Church ministries in Texas alongside her late husband, Walter B. Haynie.

Clara is survived by her three daughters, Chris Root (Raymond), Corie Gallagher, Cheryl Yosten (Melvin); grandchildren Jarod Root, Jordan Root, Jacob Root, Jayden Root, Clint Gallagher, Clay Gallagher, Stacie Kasparek, and Andrew Yosten; ten great-grandchildren, brother Donald Roark (Helen), and sister Marjorie Lofgreen (Victor); nieces, nephews, and countless brothers and sisters in Christ all around the world.

Clara was preceded in death by her late husband, Walter B. Haynie, parents William Lee and Elsie Mae Roark, brother Harold Roark, sister Ruby Jordan, great-granddaughter Karys Henderson, and son-in-law Eddie Gallagher.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to The Gideons International ( gideons.org ) or CRU ( cru.org ), a mission sending agency.
