Cruz Morales, 74, of Gainesville, TX, passed away February 15, 2024 in Gainesville.

Cruz was born May 3, 1949 in Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico and moved to Texas in 1976.  She was a homemaker and loving grandmother.  Mrs. Morales was a skilled seamstress and cook and enjoyed gardening.  She was a dedicated grandmother and great babysitter.  Mrs. Morales was a devoted Christian and faithful member of First Mexican Baptist Church in Gainesville.

Survived by: son Jose Renteria (Yolanda) of Lewisville; daughter Abigail Morales of Gainesville; grandchildren Tristan, Benjamin, Logan, Ezikiel, and Mia; many adopted grandchildren; brother Narciso Renteria (Velia) of Gainesville; sister Maria de Refugio (Johnny Najera) of Gainesville; sister Teresa Manriquez of Mexico; brother Agustin Renteria (Irma) of Mexico; sister Maria Dolores Quinones (Oscar) of Gainesville; and sister-in-law Maria Renteria of Sunray.

Predeceased by: parents Eduviges Renteria Ramirez and Casilda Alvarez Campa; husband Emilio Morales; brother Isidro Renteria; and brother-in-law Florentino Manriquez.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 18, 2024, at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home, Gainesville.  A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 19, in the funeral home chapel.  You may register your condolences at www.geojcarroll.com.
