Danny L. Shaw

Danny Lee Shaw, age 77, longtime resident of Gainesville, TX, most recently of Ardmore, OK, passed away June 23, 2023 in Ardmore.

Danny was born July 20, 1945 in Gainesville, TX and graduated from Gainesville High School.  He served in the U.S. Army from 1965 to 1968, spending time in Korea and Vietnam.  Mr. Shaw married Kathy Lynette Street on April 27, 1970.  He began his career with National Supply and retired as a truck driver.  Mr. Shaw loved classic cars and enjoyed attending car shows.  His favorite pastime was spending time with his family.

Mr. Shaw was preceded in death by: parents H.L. and Charlene (Burris) Shaw; and wife Kathy Shaw.

Survivors include: son Sean Shaw (Kristine) of Bulverde, TX; son Greg Shaw (Sherrill) of Lone Grove, OK; son Eric Shaw of Allen, TX; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A time of visitation is scheduled for Sunday, July 2, from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.  Mr. Shaw will be laid to rest at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.
