Earl Bridges

Funeral services for Davis Earl Bridges, 78, of Aubrey, are scheduled for 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 7, 2020, at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home in Gainesville, TX.  Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 PM on Saturday at the funeral home.

Mr. Bridges passed away March 2, 2020 in Denton, TX.

Earl was born August 5, 1941 in Rice, TX to Davis Lee and Ludie Gertrude (Brashears) Bridges.  After graduating high school, he served in the U.S. Army.  Earl married Charlotte Kaye Kidd on June 26, 1994 in Fort Worth.  He had a long and prosperous career with TXU Electric, retiring as a superintendent following 40 years of employment.  Earl enjoyed spending time in the yard and gardening, but most of all, he enjoyed being a grandpa.

Survivors include: wife Charlotte Kaye Bridges of Aubrey; daughter Judy Thompson of Ozark, AR; daughter Cathy White of Fort Worth; daughter Shelia Kennard of Denton; son Bobby Kennard and wife Jessica of Aubrey; and his precious granddaughter, Kendall Kennard.

Mr. Bridges was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers; and three sisters.

Serving as pallbearers are: Bobby Kennard, Cody Bridges, Scott Bridges, Kevin Kidd, Kevin Kidd Jr., and Huey Hooks.
