A memorial service for Debra Lynn (Smelcer) Poore, 57, of Gainesville, is set for 1:00 PM Friday, May 31, 2019 at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. John Fleming officiating. A visitation will follow the service.
Debra was born on November 29, 1961 in Gainesville to William Robert "Bob" Smelcer and Marian Jean (Farr) Smelcer. She passed away on May 26, 2019 in Denton.
She is survived by her parents Bob and Jean Smelcer of Gainesville; brother Bryan Smelcer and his wife Rosie of Austin; sister Kim Bell and her husband Ray of Lindsay; 9 nephews and one great-niece. She is also survived by the many foreign exchange students she hosted over the years.
Debra was preceded in death by her husband Charles Poore; and her grandparents.
