Delbert Anthony (Tony) Sims passed away Tuesday, November 30th at the age of 75.
On this day we lost our friend, advisor, partner and loved member of our family.
Tony was born 1946 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma and began his journey to be the best at commandeering his life.
Tony and his brother Andy (twin) mastered their youth climbing the ranks to become Eagle scouts. Together they joined the Army and upon his honorable discharge, Tony pursued and achieved his Master’s in Business Management.
Tony began his career as manager at Montgomery Wards in Gainesville, where he met the love of his life, Shirley. They have loved and spent 42 years building their home and surrounding themselves with a wonderful family.
Tony and Andy's love of music and vast expertise of instruments have lent our family a rare world of music.
Tony’s 35 years as a General Inspector of Weber and Zodiac afforded him travel around the world from Singapore, Abu Dhabi, to Russia.
Tony's love, knowledge and compassion has been the hallmarks that have graced his life.
The world will continue to turn, but it has lost this earthly soul which gave his whole
heart to a loving journey. We know that God has opened his arms and returned his love with full grace.
Mr. Sims is survived by his wife Shirley Sims; Brother Andy Sims; Daughter LeAnne Arrigan; Daughter-in-law Sharon Lewis; grandchildren: Robin Edwards, Cale Harbin, Ryan Harbin; great-grandchild; Anthony Gunner Edwards.
Tony was preceded in death by son Steve Harbin.
