Dell Reed

Carolyn Dell Reed, age 83, longtime resident of Friendswood, TX, most recently of Gainesville, TX, passed away December 6, 2023 in Gainesville.

Carolyn was born December 2, 1940 in Houston, TX and attended John H. Reagan High School.  She worked as an administrative assistant in the Houston area for many years.  She was a member of First Baptist Church in Friendswood, TX.  In her free time, Ms. Reed enjoyed painting and writing poetry, but most of all, spending time with her grandchildren.

Survived by: son Robert L. Reed Jr. (Jill) of Humble, TX; son Mark Reed (Belinda) of Alvin, TX; son Bruce Reed (Callee) of Greeneville, TN; daughter Elaine Downey (Cliff) of Gainesville, TX; grandchildren: Emily Reed, Chris Reed, Megan Reed, Katherine Reed, Bryce Reed, Grace Reed, and Houston Downey; brother Fred Thomas Jr. (Babs) of Georgetown, TX; brother-in-law David C. Goodman; and cousins David Goodman, Keith Goodman, John Thomas, Jeanette Gilpin, and Jennifer Thomas.

Predeceased by: parents Fred B. and Betty Elaine Thomas; sister Lynette Goodman; and niece Kathy Goodman.
