Denis Keith Pilkilton

Denis Keith Pilkilton, 61, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 17, 2023, after battling many health issues.  Born April 4, 1961, in Waco, Texas, he was the son of Eddie and Jerry Pilkilton.  He graduated from Denison High School in 1979, shortly after joined the Air Force being stationed in Colorado, Idaho and England working on F-111 Aircraft.

After serving the United States for four years, he returned home to Texas.  He married the love of his life, Linda Hudgins and became the manager of Underwoods Barbecue in Gainesville, Tx.  A few years later he went on to work as a pastry chef at the Worthington Hotel, then finished his working career, about two years ago, as a manager of Autozone in Benbrook, Gainesville, Sherman and Denison for 18 years.  He and his family are very proud of his freedom from addiction for 36 years, serving as a sponsor and treasurer in Narcotics Anonymous.

Denis Pilkilton was preceded in death by his loving and devoted wife, Linda Hudgins Pilkilton.  He is survived by two sisters:  Lori Kremling and husband Larry of Thackerville, Ok and Jana Dennis and husband Dale of Denison, Tx; nephews Cody Kremling and wife Megan of Yoakum, Tx, Ryan Kremling and wife Kayla of Gainesville, Tx and Zak Dennis of West Jordan, Utah, as well as a niece Ashley Beane and husband Randy of Richardson, Tx; a great-nephew Colton Kremling, great-nieces Audrey Kremling, Ender Beane, Maren Beane, Oswin Beane, and Landry Kremling and Linda’s niece Becky Manning.

The Celebration of Life service for Denis will be at Calvary Baptist Church in Gainesville, Tx, on Monday, January 23, 2023, at 7 p.m. with his brother-in-law Larry Kremling presiding.
