Dennis Charles Perry

March 23, 1947 — May 3, 2024

With mourning, but endless love in our hearts, we say goodbye to much beloved Dennis Charles Perry.  Dennis passed away on May 3, 2024 after fighting Alzheimer’s for more than a decade.

His service will be held on Friday, May 10, 2024 at 2:00 PM with visitation starting at 1:00 PM at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home at 602 Lindsay St., Gainesville, TX 76240.

Dennis was born in San Francisco on March 23, 1947, to Idus Perry and Peggy O’Neill-Perry.  He loved and served God as a preacher in the Callisburg and Walnut Bend area for decades.  He also served as a teacher at Walnut Bend and Callisburg ISDs.  He cherished his students and kept every single note they ever gave him.  He spent his time trying to encourage everyone around him.  He strived to be the light to anyone who might have needed a beacon.  He will be truly missed.

Dennis was the type of man that captured everyone’s attention and always made you smile.  Dennis was a wonderful husband, father, brother, son and friend to all who met him.

He is survived by his wife, Kay Perry, of Callisburg, his sons Sean, Wilson, and Isaac Perry, his daughter, Brandy Dean, and six grandchildren.  His legacy will live on.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at https://act.alz.org.
