Dolores Koelzer Hermes, 82, of Woodbine, TX, passed away November 15, 2023, in Gainesville, TX.
Mrs. Hermes was born April 17, 1941 in Muenster, TX. She graduated from Madill High School (OK) in 1959 and married Mark J. Hermes in 1963. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, and playing with her grandkids.
Mrs. Hermes was predeceased by: parents Pete and Gertrude (Sicking) Koelzer; husband Mark Hermes; brother Victor Koelzer; sister Alice Hermes; brother-in-law Arnold Knabe; brother-in-law Joe Hermes; brother-in-law John H. Jones; sister-in-law Pauline Koelzer; sister-in-law Joyce Koelzer; and sister-in-law Marie Koelzer.
Mrs. Hermes is survived by: daughter Michelle Hermes of Woodbine; son Chris Hermes of Woodbine; daughter Leah Groce of Era, TX; daughter Karen Mendoza (Lupe) of Krum, TX; grandchildren Alex, Jacki, Sami, Dustin, and Dakota; three great-grandchildren; sister Aileen Knabe of Muenster, TX; sister Veronica Jones of Madill, OK; brother Wilfred Koelzer of Keller, TX; brother Melvin Koelzer (Bobbie) of Muenster; brother Norman Koelzer of Muenster; brother-in-law Ralph Hermes (Debbie) of Gainesville, TX; sister-in-law Rosemary Dankesreiter (Tom) of Muenster; and brother-in-law Francis Hermes of Gainesville.
A Rosary service, followed by visitation, is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 19, 2023, at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home, Gainesville, TX. A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on Monday, November 20, 2023, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Gainesville. A committal service will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Muenster, TX.
