Don Scott

Funeral services for Robert Don Scott, 75, long-time Gainesville resident, most recently of Castle Rock, CO, are scheduled for 2:00 PM on Friday, March 13, 2020 at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home with Pastor John Stolz officiating.  Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 PM prior to the service.

Mr. Scott passed away March 5, 2020 in Castle Rock, CO.

Don was born July 29, 1944 in Gainesville to Robert Claude and Orlean Mae “Sue” (Holley) Scott.  He was a skilled mechanic and operated Scott’s Garage in Gainesville for many years.  Mr. Scott loved caring for antique cars and his garden.

Survivors include: wife Carol Ann Scott; son Dr. Brent Scott and wife Sue Marie; daughter Suzann Scott; son Bradley Scott; grandchildren: Robert Mitchell Scott and wife Elizabeth, Parker Scott, Grayson Scott, and Aubrey Riner and husband Justin; and great-grandchildren: Thomas Scott and Benjamin Scott.

Mr. Scott was preceded in death by: his parents and brother Ronnie Scott.

Serving as pallbearers are: Dwight Holley, Ken McClellan, Les Wilson, Warren Smith, Clay Scott, and Chet Switzer.
