A Celebration of Life for Mr. Wallace is scheduled for 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, June 19, 2021, at First United Methodist Church of Gainesville with Rev. Adam Spore officiating.
Donald John Wallace, passed away peacefully on January 12th, 2021 with family by his side.
He was born on May 17, 1941 to Jack and Doris Wallace in Houston, Texas. He moved to Dallas, Texas and attended Thomas Jefferson High School and graduated from Texas A&M. He was active In scouting and was an Eagle Scout. He was in Sales with Dial Corporation, Playtex and Orkin. Later, he moved to Cooke county and raised horses. He was active in Gainesville, TX as a board member and President of the Frank Buck Zoological Society. He was also a board member and President of North Texas Medical Center as well a member of the Gainesville Rotary Club. He attended First Methodist Church In Gainesville.
He is survived by his wife, Kay, his sons Don Wallace and Andy Wallace, of Dallas, his daughter Megan Robertson, of Dallas, twin grandsons Tommy and Tanner Robertson. His sister Margaret Miles, of Dallas and brother, Patrick Wallace and wife Ann of Castle Rock, CO.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Nancy Werner of Houston, TX.
Donations can be made in his name to Frank Buck Zoological Society or the Circle Ten Council of the Boy Scouts of America.
