Erica Jeanelle Colunga

God wanted another angel in heaven, so Erica Jeanelle Colunga, 30, of Gainesville, was called home on October 11, 2018 in Denison.

Erica was born June 21, 1988 in Gainesville.  She attended schools in Gainesville, Callisburg, and Denton.  Erica had a fun-loving spirit and was full of life.  Never having met a stranger, she touched the heart of everyone that met her in some way.  “Kiss, hug, squish the lady bug.”

Ms. Colunga leaves behind to cherish her memory: son Brad Patterson; daughter Gracie Grotjahn; mother Ronda Colunga and spouse Jeff Richeson of Gainesville; sister Alicia Ginnis of Irving; brother Casey Lindsey and spouse Tom of Oregon; sister Melissa Rackley and spouse Brittney of Irving; grandmother Barbara Zackary of Gainesville; grandfather Sam Calabrese and spouse Kaye of Corinth; and numerous beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Ms. Colunga was reunited in death with: aunt Teresa Logue.

A celebration of life will be scheduled for the near future.
