Erwin Leo "Lee" Mosser, 89, of Gainesville, TX, passed away February 26, 2025.
Lee was born October 16, 1935 and grew up north of Lindsay. He served in the National Guard. Lee worked for Central Freight for many years before retiring in 1985, then worked part-time for Joe Walter Lumber Co for several years before retiring again in 2016. Lee had a love of flying, he was one of the original members that established Freedom Field Airstrip. He enjoyed restoring airplanes, old cars, and tractors and also flying model airplanes. In his retirements years he enjoyed visiting with family & friends whether at the coffee shop or Thursday night get together at Freedom Field.
Mr. Mosser is survived by brother-in-law Leroy Case, nephews; Gary Dulock, Bill Dulock, Kevin Case, Jim Case & Tom Case; nieces Karen Case & Tina Case.
He was preceded in death by: parents Albert and Cecilia (Albers) Mosser, brother Norbert Mosser, sister Marjorie Dulock; sister Norma Jean Case; brother-in-law Freddie Dulock; nephew Pat Dulock; great-nephew Greg Dulock.
A Rosary service, followed by visitation, will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home, Gainesville. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 6, 2025 at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Lindsay. A committal service will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery, Lindsay.
