Ettie Thomas went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at River Valley Nursing Home.  She was born October 28, 1924 to Jim and Sarah (Deaton) Huneycutt in Walnut Bend.

Ettie Mae married Clarence W. Thomas on May 11, 1945 and was a loving mother of her two children, Alvin and Patsy.  She held multiple jobs including the iron shop and the local Goodwill.  She was an active member of the Moose lodge and Grace Friendship Baptist Church until her health started to decline.  She enjoyed cooking and camping.  She always made the holidays enjoyable and always helped family.

She Is survived by her son Alvin Thomas of Gainesville; niece Wanda Greene of Sherman; grandchildren Pam Thomas of Duncan, OK; Allen and Robert Thomas; Jerry Hellinger of Gainesville; Sarah Clure of Muenster; great-grandchildren Dylan, Noah, Hannah, Kyle, and Nikolas Clure all of Muenster.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter Patsy Hellinger; brothers John and Clarie Huneycutt sisters Rosie, Grace, Lilly, Marie, Parthena, Pearl, and her twin Effie.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, September 17, 2020 in the Fairview Cemetery with Rev. Larry Huffman officiating.
