Eva Jean Bradford

Funeral services for Eva Jean (Hyden) Bradford, 86, of Oak Point, are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home, Gainesville, TX, with Rev. Larry Kremling officiating.  Interment at Lakeview Cemetery, Marietta, OK, will take place privately.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30 P.M. on Friday, January 22, at the funeral home.

Mrs. Bradford passed away January 18, 2021 in Denton.

Eva was born August 26, 1934 in Glen Rose, TX.  She graduated from Gainesville High School and participated in the Gainesville Community Circus.  Eva married J.R. Bradford on May 23, 1952 in Gainesville, TX.  For many years she worked for Collin County, eventually retiring as Chief Deputy County Clerk.  Mrs. Bradford enjoyed bowling, sewing and quilting, any kind of board or card game, and traveling.

Survivors include: daughter, Mary Gehlsen and husband, Steve of Oak Point; grandchildren: Jacy Gehlsen, Emily Colon, Eddie Colon, Amber Gann (Clifford), and Justin Robert Adelmann (Jessie); six great-grandchildren; sister, Robbie Ann Carson and husband, Frank; sister Nancy Jo Striplin and husband, Ray; sister, Ruby Pearl Tallent; sister, Carol Sue Matthews; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Bradford was preceded in death by: parents, H.H. and Ethel Hyden; husband, J.R. Bradford; son, Robert Bradford; and brother-in-law, Larry Matthews.
