Fannie McKnight, of Gainesville, TX, went home to her Lord on September 29, 2024 at the age of 91.

Fannie was born on January 29, 1933 in Aubrey, TX.  She married Ronald McKnight on November 24, 1966 in Gainesville.  Mrs. McKnight worked in Denton, TX at Duke & Ayres and Piggly Wiggly; in Gainesville at National Supply and Bomber Bait Co.; and in Amarillo, TX at J.C. Penney’s and Gibson’s.

Survivors include: husband Ronald McKnight; son Donald McKnight and his wife Carol; son Matthew McKnight; grandchild Michael Higgins; great-grandchildren Lucas and Logan Higgins; seven sisters: Hope Simpkins, Sarah Heffley, Sandra Adams, Margie Stanley (husband Kenneth), Lillie Shaw, Mary Alice Cantu, and Delores Johnson; and brother Amos Morales.

Mrs. McKnight was preceded in death by: parents Elygo and Annie Morales; three brothers: Carmen, David, and Larry; and sister-in-law Nellie Pannell Morales.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 3, 2024, at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home, Gainesville.  A graveside service, officiated by Rev. Darrell McIntyre, will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 4, at Sanger Cemetery, Sanger, TX.
