Funeral services for Felipa Gonzalez, 69, of Amarillo, most recently of Gainesville, are scheduled for 2:00 PM on Friday, March 2, 2018 with Dn. Gelasio Garcia officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday, March 1 at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.
Mrs. Gonzalez passed away February 25, 2018 in Gainesville.
Felipa, affectionately known as “Tia Phyllis”, was born November 8, 1948 in Yoakum, TX to Alejandro and Herminia (Mendez) Gonzales. She enjoyed shopping, cooking, and loved a good meal. Above all, she treasured the time spent with her loved ones at family gatherings.
Survivors include: a son; two grandchildren; seven brothers; seven sisters; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Mrs. Gonzalez was preceded in death by: husband Alex Gonzalez; her parents; and two sisters.
