Frankie Leigh (Evans) Holley, 87, longtime Gainesville resident, most recently of Arlington, passed away December 10, 2021.
Frankie was born June 12, 1934 in Gainesville and was raised there with her two sisters. She graduated from Gainesville High School and married shortly thereafter. Mrs. Holley worked for the City of Gainesville’s Public Works Department as a secretary for many years and was a member of Broadway Church of Christ. She moved to Arlington following her husband’s passing and enjoyed time spent with family and her beloved dog, PeeWee.
Mrs. Holley was preceded in death by: husband of 50 years, Carroll Holley; daughter, Rebecca Diane Holley; son, Randall Ray Holley; parents, Frank and Ola Evans; and sisters, Dorothy and Rita.
Survivors include: granddaughter, Erin White and husband, Robert Jr. of Arlington; grandson, James Ray Holley; granddaughter, April Holley and great-grandchildren: Nathan Owen, Claire Owen, and Sydney Owen.
The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, December 14, 2021, at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will begin at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, December 15, in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
