Gary W. Bloodworth

June 24, 1952 — December 5, 2020

Gary W. Bloodworth, 68, of Callisburg, went to be with our Lord on Saturday, December 5, 2020.

Graveside services will be held at the New Hope Cemetery in Valley View on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at 2:00 PM.

The Family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, December 8, 2020 at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home in Gainesville.

Pallbearers are Kyle Bloodworth, Jeff Carter, Nathan Carter, Jake Carter, Ross Pilcher, Jim Carter and Aaron Maestas.

Gary was born June 24, 1952 to Wayne and Cliffogene (Townsley) Bloodworth in Sherman, Texas.  He was united in marriage May 25, 1982 to Sue Hott in Denton.

He served 4 years in the United States Navy as a HT2 Hull Maintenance Technician, Private 3 rd Class until he was honorably discharged April 1981.

Gary was preceded in death by his father, Wayne Bloodworth and Uncle Horace Lee Townsley.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 38 years, Sue; his mother Cliffogene (Townsley) Bloodworth of Gainesville; his son Kyle and wife Chelsea Bloodworth of Weatherford; his son Jeff and wife Shannon Carter of Callisburg; his sister Suzanne and husband Glen Crutsinger of Gainesville; a nephew Aaron and wife Kristi Maestas and their two children of Copper Canyon; Aunt Frances Townsley of Denton; 5 Grandchildren: Kristin and husband Ross Pilcher, Nathan and wife Bailey Carter, Jake Carter, Judson Bloodworth and Jaclyn Bloodworth and 2 Great-Grandchildren: Cooper and Hudson.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Morton Museum in Gainesville, Callisburg Church of Christ or Friends of the Cumbrers Toltec of Chama, New Mexico.
