Gary Paul Boaz

Gary Paul Boaz, affectionately called “PaPa”, age 70, of Myra, passed away May 21, 2022 in Myra, TX.

Gary was born December 2, 1951 in Gainesville, TX.  He was a graduate of Gainesville High School.  Mr. Boaz married Vicki Tuggle on July 21, 1978 in Gainesville.  He had a long career in the trucking industry and he loved every minute of it.  He had the ability to fix anything and was generous with his time.  Mr. Boaz enjoyed collecting treasures, riding motorcycles, spending time at the lake, and cherished his dog, Dixie.  Most recently, his grandchildren and their sporting events had become Mr. Boaz’s highest priority.

Survivors include: wife, Vicki Boaz of Myra; daughter, Misti Vogel and husband, Scot of Myra; daughter, JoAnna Boaz of Gainesville; daughter, Kelli Ford of Muenster and fiancé, Terry Bartel; daughter, Amanda Arrington and husband, Jeremy of Callisburg; son, Steven Boaz and wife, Kristi of Bowie; son, Tyler Boaz and wife, Skyler of Myra; grandchildren: Victoria, Kourtney, Philicia, Jason, Jerico, Jacey, Hunter, Kalee, Kaitlin, Kaci, Heath, Nolan, Stevie, Hunter, Hayden, Hudson, Zoey, Kaydence, Danny, and Dawson; great-grandchildren: Emeri, Ruby, Elissa, Holden, and Brailey; mother, Donna Samek and husband, Charlie of Valley View; sister, Kay Herman of Gainesville; and sister, Paula Garner and husband, George of Gainesville.

Mr. Boaz was preceded in death by his father, Paul Raymond Boaz.

A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 28, 2022, at Reed Cemetery in Myra.  Arrangements are under the care of Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.
