Gene Hobbs

A graveside service for Gene Hobbs, 87, of Gainesville, is scheduled for 10:00 A.M. on Monday, March 22, 2021 at Callisburg Cemetery with Loys Gene Hobbs officiating.

Gene was born September 6, 1933 in Tokio, TX to Doc and Opal (West) Hobbs.  He passed away March 18, 2021 in Denison.

Survivors include: son, Michael Hobbs and wife, Linda of Bacliff; daughter, Ann Burr and husband, Hugh of Gainesville; daughter-in-law, Dolly Hobbs of Gainesville; 8 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Mr. Hobbs was preceded in death by: wife, Isla Hobbs; parents, Doc and Opal Hobbs; son, Robert Hobbs; great-granddaughter, Larken Burr; brother, Allan Hobbs; and brother, Leon Hobbs.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choosing.
