George C. Gilbreath

Graveside services for George Gilbreath, 88, of Gainesville, are scheduled for 10:00 AM on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at Fairview Cemetery with Rev. Larry Kremling officiating.  Arrangements are under the care of Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.

Mr. Gilbreath passed away March 24, 2018 in Gainesville.

George was born July 14, 1929 in Gainesville to Barney McCoy and Juanita Mae (Culp) Gilbreath.  He married Anna Jean Foster in Gainesville on April 4, 1951.  George spent more than 50 years with Bomber Bait Co.  He enjoyed riding motorcycles, tinkering with small engines, and most of all, visiting with friends and family.

Survivors include: wife of 66 years, Jean Gilbreath; granddaughter Jori Gilbreath and husband Greg of Sanger; grandson George J. Gilbreath and wife Megan of Argyle; great-grandchildren: Greer, Harper, and Emma; and brother Clovis “Shorty” Gilbreath and wife Julia of Gainesville.

Mr. Gilbreath was preceded in death by: his parents; son George W. Gilbreath; daughter Shelia Gilbreath; brother Pete Gilbreath; brother Coy Gilbreath; brother Barney Gilbreath; and sister Bonnie Ruth Harper.
