Glendora Mae (Lovett) Davenport, 93, of Gainesville, passed away November 9, 2022 in Gainesville, TX.
Glendora was born to Glenn and Mabel Lovett on February 7, 1929 in Nocona, TX. She married Bloyce Gene Davenport on October 4, 1947. She worked for Southland Paint and various banking institutions around Gainesville. Mrs. Davenport loved spending time with her family. She traveled extensively and enjoyed gardening and feeding the birds. She could often be found participating in a game of cards or dominos. Mrs. Davenport was a member of Hillcrest Church of Christ.
Survivors include: son and daughter-in-law Larry and Shirley Davenport of Gainesville; son Mike Davenport of Forestburg; grandchildren: Gina and husband Bredger Thomason, Jaime and husband Trent Macon, Ashley and husband Jacob Estes, Micah and wife Lauri Davenport, and Kiley and husband Steven Walker; and great-grandchildren: Madison Thomason, Collin Macon, Remington Davenport, Roen Davenport, Kyndall Macon, Barrett Walker, Logan Estes, Zoey Walker, and Landon Estes.
Mrs. Davenport was preceded in death by: husband Gene Davenport; parents Glenn and Mabel (Lester) Lovett; and brother Jim Lovett.
A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 12, at Hillcrest Church of Christ. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
Serving as pallbearers are: Micah Davenport, Remington Davenport, Roen Davenport, Trent Macon, Collin Macon, Jacob Estes, Steven Walker, and Bredger Thomason.
