Gus Rode

August “Gus” Rode Jr., 81, of Woodbine, passed away September 23, 2019 in Gainesville.

Gus was born February 9, 1938 in Oakland, PA to August and Ethel A. (Reid) Rode Sr.  As an avid outdoorsman, he was a skilled trapper and fisherman.  Most recently, he cared for his farm, animals, and garden.

Survivors include: wife Patsy Rode of Woodbine; son Carl Rode and wife Sandra of Guthrie, OK; daughter PattieJo Frank of Oil City, PA; son Charles Rode of Franklin, PA; daughter Kristine Rode of Pennsylvania; stepson Tony Weir Sr. and wife Regina of Woodbine; stepson Stoney Weir of Coyle, OK; stepson David Weir of Beaumont; stepdaughter Beverly Trammell of Gainesville; stepson James Weir of Lexington, OK; numerous beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother Paul Rode of Mercerburg, PA; and sister Violet Spapheros of Oil City, PA.

Mr. Rode was preceded in death by his parents.
